History

Originally The Smokehouse was exactly that, a small commercial building setup to smoke fish coming off the ships from Tobacco Dock. Through the building’s history many different activities and businesses passed through it’s doors until in 1985 it was redeveloped and repurposed to become a recording studio. Acoustical engineers designed the dimensions and angles for the control room and live room and their success is shown in how very little changes have been made since that initial design.
